Vision
The vision of PPS is to promote holistic education and set the pace for student-driven learning.
Mission
The mission of PPS is to nurture each child's personal, social, cognitive and academic development within a safe, caring and happy environment. We aim to inspire generations of learners to broaden their educational goals and to become critical thinkers, creative researchers, independent learners and positive change agents within their local and international communities.
Our strategic approach to education
- Learner-centered approach: We are committed to developing the knowledge, Skills, and values of all our students, teachers, and staff members honoring their different learning profiles, readiness, and interests. Each learning experience is designed to cater to the learner’s individual needs with the goal of guiding them towards academic, personal, cognitive, emotional and social excellence.
- Multilingualism is encouraged: Multilingualism is a vital tool for international understanding, as it empowers students to become actively involved in the global community. Through our international curriculum, we offer students the ability to learn four languages: Arabic, English, French and Spanish. Our students are equipped with a strong command of two languages and a communicative command in a third.
- Advanced technology skills: We support learners to advance their computer literacy skills and extend an interactive “anytime, anywhere” philosophy, with access to quality information technology instruction material, empowering students to use these skills to take control of and be responsible for their learning.
- Tailored learning styles: We believe that learners have unique learning styles, developing at their own pace. As such we provide tailored instruction styles across our classrooms, as well as provide different levels of courses where appropriate (particularly in high school).
- Local and international cultures are celebrated: We believe that equality, understanding and awareness are key to growth, fostered by a worldly American curriculum, tailored to local cultures, and a multinational student body. Students participate in activities that are enhanced by the cultural diversity of the host country, the school community and international contributions.
- Qualified teaching body: We set high standards for our teachers and faculty are provided with ongoing training and certification opportunities, with access to international education consultants, to provide leaners with holistic academic and social experiences.
- Partners in education: We are committed to fostering a “learning community”, whereby students, their families, teachers and other members of the school community work together in a partnership to cultivate the learner as a whole.
